Butterfly Garden Day 2

October 24, 2011

Dear Followers:

Today the Go Green Club was able to work in the Butterfly Garden. I was very happy to see all the students working, digging, drawing, shooting pictures, documenting, and enjoying nature and friends. All of them did a great job.  The first graders were observing the insects and animals that surround the area where we are creating our butterfly garden. They took their job very seriously, got the magnifying glass to observe and off they went on their journey. Adria, Hugo and Anna Catalina are excellent observers of nature. They even wanted to go to the area behind the playground or the woods as they called it, but I told them that we need parent’s permission to go into that adventure. Sandra did an amazing sketch of the garden. The rest of the students were digging and planting. See for yourself in the following pictures. Hope you guys enjoy them as much as we did. We want to thank Nadia for helping us create our net to protect the caterpillars and chrysalis from predators. It is coming along! We will keep you posted.
